Lancôme Advent Calendar 2026: The Pink Palace With La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir Behind Its Doors

The Lancôme Palace Advent Calendar 2026 open, with its 24 Lancôme products lined up in front, including La Vie Est Belle L'Elixir

Lancôme has built itself a palace for Christmas. The Lancôme Advent Calendar 2026, properly the Lancôme Palace Advent Calendar, is a pink Parisian palace drawn by French artist Octave Marsal, with 24 rooms to open through December and a little of everything the house does tucked inside: its best-loved skincare, a run of lip and lash colour, and a fragrance wardrobe built around La Vie Est Belle.

The star sits behind one of those doors: a 30ml bottle of La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir, the newest and deepest take on Lancôme’s most famous scent. Around it, Lancôme has gathered Génifique, Rénergie and Absolue skincare, three more fragrances in smaller sizes, and lipsticks and mascaras from the L’Absolu Rouge, Lip Idôle and Lash Idôle ranges.

Lancôme says eight of the 24 are full size, with the other 16 in travel sizes. As for the palace itself, it’s pretty enough that we’d happily leave it out on a side table all month.

At a glance: £260 | 24 surprises | Worth £520, Lancôme says | Available now at Lancôme | 8 full sizes, by Lancôme’s count

  • The headline bottle: La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir at 30ml, which Lancôme also sells on its own for £76.

What piques our interest

La Vie Est Belle L’Elixir is the reason we’d reach for this one. Lancôme calls it its first velvety floral: liquorous raspberry and bergamot at the top, violet leaf and rose at the heart, then cocoa butter, cedarwood and a leathery warmth underneath. It’s a richer, moodier La Vie Est Belle than the one most of us know, and at 30ml it’s a bottle to wear well into the new year, not a single spritz to remember it by.

It doesn’t arrive alone. The original La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum is here at 4ml, so you can wear the two side by side, along with Idôle at 5ml and Idôle Peach’N Roses at 10ml. La Vie Est Belle Body Lotion (50ml) and Juicy Hands Vanilla Fluff (30ml) carry the scent onto skin. Together they make a small fragrance wardrobe in their own right, and a gentle way to find out whether you’re a La Vie Est Belle person or an Idôle one.

The skincare reads like a slow walk along Lancôme’s counter. There’s Génifique Ultimate Serum at 20ml, Rénergie H.P.N. 300-Peptide Cream and Rénergie Multi-Lift Nuit at 15ml each, and a 15ml Absolue Longevity The Soft Cream for the evenings you want to feel properly looked after. The cleansing side is covered too: Bi-Facil at 30ml, plus Lait Galatée Confort and Tonique Confort at 50ml each, so the countdown takes you from taking the day off to putting the night cream on.

The makeup leans towards lips and lashes, which is where Lancôme shines. There are two L’Absolu Rouge lipsticks, Intimatte in 505 Attrape-Cœur and Cream in 274 French Tea, and two Lip Idôle shades, Butterglow in 60 Million-Dollar Berry and Juicy Treat in 33 Idôle Nude. For lashes, Hypnôse Drama, Lash Idôle Flutter Extension and Lash Idôle Curl Goddess come with Cils Booster XL to wear underneath. Lancôme suggests building a whole routine from the doors, serum and cream first, then colour, and the line-up makes that a pleasure on a dark December morning.

What we’d change

We’d have traded one of the lash doors for a little colour elsewhere. Three mascaras and a lash primer is a lot of lashes for one countdown, and a blush or an eyeshadow from Lancôme’s makeup range would have given the makeup a touch more variety.

Two eye creams share the line-up, Génifique Ultimate Eye Cream and Absolue The Eye Cream, both at 5ml. We’d have happily swapped one of them for another Rénergie or Absolue treat.

We’d have loved Idôle in a size to match L’Elixir. La Vie Est Belle gets the grand bottle here, and a larger Idôle would let its fans feel just as spoilt.

Who it’s perfect for

This is one for the La Vie Est Belle devotee who’d like to meet L’Elixir properly, and for anyone who already keeps a Lancôme serum or cream by the basin and fancies a wider look at the range. It suits someone who enjoys a little of everything in December: a new skincare step one morning, a lipstick the next, a different fragrance for the weekend.

It’s less of a fit if you only want makeup, since skincare leads the line-up. As a gift, the palace does a lot of the work for you, arriving looking like a present before anyone has reached for the wrapping paper.
