Beauty Pie Better Than an Advent Calendar 2026: 14 Products, All Full Size, £249

Beauty Pie Better Than an Advent Calendar 2026 line-up including Youthbomb serum, Le Masque, Japanfusion cleanser and Orange Absolute Intense eau de parfum

There is a full 50ml bottle of Youthbomb in this box. Not a 7ml trial size behind a cardboard door on the fourteenth of December — the actual bottle, sitting alongside a 53ml pot of Le Masque, a 75ml Fruitizyme peel and a 50ml Orange Absolute eau de parfum. Fourteen products, every one of them full size, for £249, with an oversized Beauty Pie bag and a year’s membership on top. There is no Beauty Pie advent calendar 2026 in the traditional sense — the brand has named this one Better Than an Advent Calendar, which is a fairly bold thing to print on a box in September. The interesting part is how much of that argument it wins.

The numbers

Beauty Pie’s Better Than an Advent Calendar 2026 is £249 for 14 products, all 14 of which are full size. There are no doors and no days: it arrives as a single edit, packed into an oversized Beauty Pie bag rather than a numbered cardboard cabinet. That is a deliberate position rather than a shortcut — the brand has taken this approach for several years now, on the reasoning that twenty-five little boxes are also twenty-five little boxes to throw away.

Beauty Pie puts the traditional retail value of the contents at £1,028, and that figure needs a little context, because Beauty Pie prices differently from a conventional shop. The brand sells as a members’ club, so every product carries two figures: the traditional retail price, which is Beauty Pie’s estimate of what a comparable luxury product would cost you elsewhere, and the members’ price, which is what you pay once you have joined. The £1,028 is the first of those two numbers, and it covers the contents alone.

Two things sit outside that figure. The bag is included, and so is a one-year Beauty Pie+ membership, usually £59 — which starts your membership if you are new, or extends it by another year if you are already in. It renews automatically at £59 a year unless cancelled.

The spread runs to seven skincare products, five makeup, one bodycare and one fragrance.

Does it pique our interest?

The full-size claim is the headline, and it holds up, which is not something we get to say every time. Fourteen out of fourteen is a clean sweep, and the sizes are the real sizes rather than generously described miniatures: 50ml of Youthbomb, 50ml of the Next-Gen anti-ageing cream, 75ml of the Fruitizyme peel, 100ml of the Japanfusion cleanser, 180ml of body crème.

What strikes us more is that the skincare hangs together as a routine rather than an assortment. There is a cleanser, an acid peel, an eye serum, an overnight mask, a moisturiser and Youthbomb, which is the product most people arrive at Beauty Pie for in the first place. You could open this box and have a complete evening routine on the shelf by Sunday without buying a single thing to fill a gap. That is rarer than it sounds; the usual experience is three serums and nothing to wash your face with.

The Beauty Pie advent calendar 2026 alternative: all 14 full-size products laid flat, with the Beauty Pie membership card

The membership is the quietly clever part and it is easy to skim past. A year of Beauty Pie+ is what unlocks the members’ pricing on everything else the brand sells, so what you are handed is not only a box of products but the thing that makes replacing any of them affordable afterwards. If you fall for the Fruitizyme peel — and it is the sort of product people do fall for — you are already a member by the time the bottle runs out. For an existing member it simply adds another year to what you have.

The fragrance is more generous than it needed to be. Orange Absolute Intense is a full 50ml bottle rather than a 10ml calendar vial, opening on lemon, clementine, orange and tangerine oils before rose and geranium soften it into sandalwood, dry woods and tonka bean — bright at the top, considerably warmer by the end, and far easier to wear in December than a straight citrus would be. The Love The Remix body crème at 180ml gives it something to sit on.

What we’d change

There is very little to quibble with here, but three things are worth knowing before you commit.

The first is the obvious one, and it is the thing the name is picking a fight with. There is no countdown. You do not get the small daily ceremony of opening a door before work, and if that ritual is the reason you buy a beauty calendar at all — if what you want is December stretched out rather than a very good haul in one afternoon — then no amount of full-size product will replace it. This box arrives, you open it, and that is the moment. It is a real trade, and only you know whether you mind.

The second is that makeup is the lighter half of the box, at five products to skincare’s seven, and the shades have been chosen for you. Wonderwhirl, Brazillionaire, Unrivaled, Plum Naked and Classic Black are sensibly picked, wearable and unlikely to frighten anyone — but if you have firm views about your lip colour you are accepting someone else’s judgement on five of the fourteen items. If makeup is your main reason for buying, you might prefer a calendar built around it.

The third is the renewal, and we would rather say it plainly than leave it in the small print. The membership renews at £59 a year unless cancelled. Straightforward enough if you are buying for yourself and intend to stay, but if this is a gift, the person unwrapping it inherits a subscription that will come round again next Christmas. Worth a word when you hand it over.

None of this unsettles the overall picture much. For what it sets out to do, the balance here is unusually good, and these are things to know rather than things to worry about.

Who it’s perfect for

This is for someone who wants the products more than the performance. If your bathroom shelf leans skincare, if you have been eyeing Youthbomb for two years without quite committing, or if you are already a Beauty Pie member and this is simply the most efficient way to restock several things at once and add a year to your membership while you are at it, it is an easy yes.

It also makes a generous gift for someone who would rather have one very good haul than twenty-five small surprises — though do mention the renewal when you hand it over.

If what you want is the countdown, this is not it, and no quantity of full-size product will talk you round. Our Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 review covers a proper 25-drawer calendar with a similar commitment to full sizes, if the ritual is the part you are buying.

Our Pique Verdict

Perfect for: Someone who wants the products rather than the countdown, and whose shelf leans skincare.

Best product: Youthbomb Original 360° Radiance Concentrate Serum, 50ml.

Biggest drawback: There is no countdown — it all arrives at once.

Value for money: ★★★★½ (4.5/5)
