Does it pique our interest?

Skincare is the clear focus. Ten of the 25 products are skincare, and several of the standouts are full size: Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment (30ml), Tata Harper Water-Lock Moisturizer (50ml), Antipodes Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream (60ml) and Mimétique Skin Cloud Make Up Remover Balm (100ml). It’s a line-up that makes sense coming from a retailer known for its skincare edit.

It doesn’t stop at skincare, though. Fascent’s Red Flag eau de parfum is a woody, spicy scent with beetroot, cardamom and iris, the L:a Bruket Hinoki candle brings cedarwood, cypress and incense to the home, and Combeau’s hydration sachets add a wellness element. Those extras give the calendar more variety than a skincare-only line-up would.

The case is a big part of the appeal. LRNCE’s Moroccan-inspired design is made to be reused as a tote, an organiser or storage, so it won’t be heading for the recycling in January. It also makes the calendar feel like a considered gift before anything has been opened.

The Moroccan-inspired LRNCE case opens out, with a pocket for each product.

We also like the mix of brands. Sunday Riley, Tata Harper, Ilia and RMS Beauty are well-known names, while Fascent, Coelho Beauty and Atelier Nubio are smaller brands many people won’t have tried yet. That balance keeps each day’s opening interesting.

What we’d change

A few things to bear in mind before you add it to your basket:

The skincare is excellent, but it’s treatment-heavy. With retinol, lactic acid and several active serums, it may not suit every skin type or existing routine, which is worth bearing in mind if you’re buying for someone new to actives.

The travel sizes are well chosen, but one more full-size hero product in fragrance, bodycare or makeup would make the line-up feel more balanced beyond skincare.

Who it’s for

This calendar suits someone who already has a skincare routine and enjoys trying new treatments. If you, or the person you’re buying for, are comfortable using retinol and acids, the skincare here will get plenty of use.

It’s also a good choice if presentation matters. The LRNCE case makes it feel like a proper gift, and it stays useful afterwards. And if you enjoy discovering smaller brands, Fascent, Coelho Beauty and Atelier Nubio are three worth getting to know.

It’s less suited to someone who mainly wants makeup, or who is just starting out with active skincare. If that sounds like you, the Charlotte Tilbury Advent Calendar 2026 may be the better fit.
