The Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 is the one for anyone who wants their December decided by scent. At £285 for 29 products that Liberty values at over £1,300, it’s their most valuable edition yet, and with eight niche fragrances in the line-up, it’s the most fragrance-forward calendar in this year’s field. So we’ve gone through the full contents list, door by door, to work out who this year’s calendar is really for.
A quick note: this is built from Liberty’s own published contents list, not a hands-on unboxing.
Does it pique our interest?
Short answer: the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 does — and more than most, if you love fragrance.
Eight of the 29 products are scent, close to 28% of the calendar, and it’s the line-up rather than the count that makes it interesting. Ex Nihilo, Matière Première, D.S. & Durga, Fugazzi, Bibbi, Vyrao and Escentric Molecules sit alongside Liberty’s own LBTY, and that is a genuinely well-chosen niche shelf. Buying those eight individually would mean eight separate discovery decisions; here they arrive already curated by a buying team that does this for a living.
The wider brand mix feels fresh too. Lisa Eldridge, REOME, Joonbyrd and VIOLETTE_FR aren’t the names that turn up in every calendar each year, and 26 of the 29 products are exclusive to this one — so you’re not opening doors onto things already sitting in your bathroom cabinet.
What we like most is what Liberty has chosen not to do. Skincare accounts for just eight products, around 28%, where a lot of luxury calendars are two-thirds serums by the time you reach the middle of December. This one is built as a proper spread across five categories, which makes the daily open less predictable.
Then there is the packaging, which for Liberty is never an afterthought. Clym Evernden has illustrated the box for a fourth year, and there’s a large Liberty Print drawstring bag in Festive Plume inside. Liberty has also hidden a Golden Ticket worth £1,000 in 20 of the calendars — a nice touch, and worth knowing about before you write off the outer packaging.
Where it asks more of you: eight fragrances is a lot of fragrance if scent isn’t your thing, and makeup is the quietest category at five products. This is a calendar with a clear point of view, and it will suit some people far better than others.
Pique Picks: what we’re most excited about

Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum (full-size, 30ml, RRP £70) — our Pique Pick of the calendar. A vitamin C that has earned its reputation rather than borrowed it, in the size you’d actually buy. If nothing else in here landed, this one would still get used to the last drop.
MZ Skin Intensive Bio-Placenta Eye Cream (full-size, 15ml, RRP £180) — the most valuable single item in the calendar, and a brand people tend to be curious about rather than committed to. A full jar is a real chance to find out whether it’s for you.
Lisa Eldridge Baume Embrace Melting Lip Colour in Épanoui (full-size, 2.8g, RRP £27) — the sort of thing you reach for without thinking. Makeup is the smallest category here, so it matters that the pieces in it are good, and this one is.
Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman Extrait (7.5ml) — the fragrance we’d open first. A floral amber with pear and bergamot up top and vanilla, sandalwood and musk underneath: warm without being heavy, and an easy way to try a house that isn’t cheap to sample blind.
What we’d change
Nothing here is a dealbreaker, but three things are worth knowing before you commit:
- Eight fragrances won’t suit everyone. More than a quarter of the calendar is scent. If you already know your signature and don’t enjoy exploring, that’s a big slice of it doing less work for you.
- We’d have liked a little more makeup. Five of the 29 products, and one of those is a travel-size balm. The choices are strong; there just aren’t many of them.
- A few of the full-size items are small by nature. An 8ml perfume or a 15ml serum is a full bottle as the brand sells it, but it will still feel modest in the hand. Worth setting expectations rather than being surprised on the day.
The numbers
£285, with 29 products plus the Liberty Print bag. Liberty puts the contents at over £1,300, which it describes as its highest-ever worth, and lists 21 of the products as full-size and 26 as exclusive to this calendar.
The category split is the most useful number here: fragrance 8, skincare 8, makeup 5, haircare 4, bodycare 4. That’s an unusually even spread for a calendar at this price, and it’s the clearest signal of who it’s built for.
On timing: the waitlist is open now, the pre-order window for Liberty Beauty Drop subscribers closed on 20 August, subscribers get early access from 1 September, and it goes on general sale on 2 September.

Who it’s perfect for
Niche fragrance lovers, first and foremost. If your idea of a good December is eight scents you haven’t worn before, arriving one at a time, nothing else this season comes close. It’s a strong fit too for anyone who likes discovering brands rather than restocking them — 26 exclusives and a genuinely fresh line-up make that the whole point. It’s a weaker fit if you’re buying primarily for skincare, if you want a makeup-heavy calendar, or if you already know exactly what you like and want more of it.
Our Pique verdict

Does the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 pique our interest? Very much so. It knows exactly what it is, which is rarer than it sounds at this end of the market, and it commits to it. Go in wanting what it’s offering and it’s the most characterful calendar of the season.

FAQ
Is the Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 worth it?
For fragrance lovers, yes — comfortably. If you don’t wear much fragrance, look at a skincare-led calendar instead.

Previous Liberty calendars have sold out quickly after going on general sale, though we don’t have confirmed figures for exactly how fast this year’s edition will go. If you don’t want to risk missing out, joining the waitlist is the safer option.
