It’s a lovely thing to have on the side in December, and sturdy enough to earn a second life as a keepsake once the last drawer is open. As a luxury advent calendar goes, it’s refreshingly focused: one brand, one purpose, and beautifully consistent from the first drawer to the last.
Behind the 25 doors is a month of Elemis at its most familiar. Pro-Collagen runs right through it: a cleansing balm in three scents, the Marine Cream, the Overnight Matrix, an oil, two serums and a pair of eye treatments. Around it sit the Superfood and Dynamic Resurfacing lines, a small bathroom’s worth of body care, and three full-size favourites to anchor the whole thing. It reads like a slow tour of the Elemis counter, from the first cleanse of the morning to the last layer before bed.

The line-up is almost all skincare: 21 of the 25 are for the face and eyes, and the remaining four are for the body. The calendar is on sale now at Elemis, and that’s the only UK stockist we’ve found.
Does it pique our interest?
Very much so, and mostly because of those three full sizes. The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is the product a lot of people discover Elemis through: a rich, fragrant balm that melts make-up and daily grime away and leaves the skin feeling cushioned rather than stripped. Finding the full 100g pot behind one of the doors is a proper treat. The Pro-Collagen Marine Cream sits beside it at full size too, the brand’s signature moisturiser, and a 50ml jar is enough to see you well into the new year.
The third full size is the one we didn’t expect. A 200ml Frangipani Monoi Body Cream brings a little holiday to the bathroom in the depths of winter, all creamy tiare flower and coconut warmth, and it pairs beautifully with the Frangipani Monoi Shower Cream elsewhere in the calendar. With the Pro-Collagen Marine Body Cream and the Body Cleansing Balm alongside, this is one of the few skincare calendars that looks after you from the neck down as well.
The travel sizes are well chosen, too. Superfood Midnight Facial is a gentle overnight treatment to wake up to, and the Papaya Enzyme Peel and Glow Boost Exfoliator give you two very different ways to brighten a tired December complexion. The Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads come as a 14-pack, so there’s enough to see how they suit you rather than a single try. We also love how naturally the calendar builds into a routine. Open a few drawers and you have a cleanser, a toner, a serum, a moisturiser and an eye treatment, all from the same house, all designed to layer. For someone who has been meaning to try Elemis properly, or who only knows the Cleansing Balm, it’s a gentle and very complete introduction. And for the loyal fan, it’s a chance to meet the Rose Marine Cream or the Superfood Multi Mist, the kind of thing that rarely makes it into the basket on its own.
What we’d change
Our wish list here is short. The first thing we’d look at is the balance between cleansers and treatments. Counting the Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, its Black Cherry and Green Fig siblings, the Cleansing Mousse, the Energising Marine Cleanser and the Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash, there are six ways to wash your face. They’re all lovely, but we’d happily swap one or two for another serum or a second eye cream.
We’d also love one more full-size treatment alongside the Marine Cream. The Future Restore Serum is the kind of product people want to live with for a few weeks before deciding, and a larger size would make that easier.
