There is something irresistible about a breakfast joke at Christmas. YesStyle has packed its 2026 beauty advent calendar into a giant cereal box, christened it “Y So Cereal”, tucked a sticker sheet inside for good measure, and then poured in 37 Korean beauty products from 35 different brands. That is very nearly a new name with every product, which makes this less a box of favourites and more a tasting menu of K-beauty as it stands right now: a little of everything, and some of it served in generous portions.

The YesStyle Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 costs £129.50 and holds 37 products from 35 brands, with YesStyle putting its stated worth at over $450. Skincare takes the lion’s share at 23 products, followed by 11 makeup pieces, two haircare treatments and the Y So Cereal sticker sheet to finish.
It arrives in waves rather than all at once. Silver and Gold members can pre-order from 3am GMT on 29 September, pre-orders open to everyone at 3am GMT on 6 October, and the official launch follows at 3am GMT on 13 October, with extra stock drops at 9am GMT on 20 October and 1am GMT on 27 October. Does it pique our interest?
Very much so, and mostly because of how far it wanders. Where many K-beauty calendars lean on a handful of household names, this one reads like a well-stocked shelf in Seoul. The brands everyone already knows are here, Beauty of Joseon, Anua, COSRX, medicube and TIRTIR among them, but they sit alongside names such as Ongredients, ARENCIA and KSECRET that are far harder to try without committing to a whole bottle.
The skincare is where it gets serious. There is a proper 100ml pot of the Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleansing Balm, a 50ml Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse, and a run of 30ml serums that each earn their place: Anua’s Azelaic Acid 10 Hyaluron Redness Soothing Serum, the medicube Kojic Acid Turmeric Niacinamide Serum, celimax’s Noni Ampoule and a KSECRET SEOUL 1988 retinal serum. Between them they take on redness, dullness, dark spots and texture, which is more or less the whole modern K-beauty conversation in four bottles.
The makeup is chosen with the same appetite. A CLIO Muse Master palette in a rosy preset, a rom&nd pot liner in soft brown taupe, a House of Hur ampoule blusher in deep plum and the Milk Touch blurring pot in Berry Crush all lean into the berry-and-plum shades December was made for. Behind them, the TIRTIR Mask Fit Make Up Fixer and the TFIT silk veil primer make up the supporting cast that so often gets forgotten.
Then comes the haircare, a pleasing surprise. The VT PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Ampoule and the SEAPURI Scalpy Hair Serum bring scalp care into the box, one of the corners of K-beauty that rarely makes it into a calendar at all. Add the cereal-box packaging and a sheet of stickers, and this is a calendar that was plainly a joy to put together.
What we’d change
Our wish list for next year is a short one. A handful of the skincare arrives as sachets, two-pad packs and sample cards, among them the Torriden pads, two 2ml Isntree vials and the Dr.Reju-All PDRN cards. They are a lovely way to be introduced to a brand, but they are over in a morning, and we would happily trade a few of them for one more generous bottle.
With retinal, azelaic, kojic, salicylic and tranexamic acids all sharing one box, a little card suggesting what to pair and what to keep apart would help anyone newer to actives enjoy the whole run without overdoing it. And with that many actives in play, a Korean sunscreen, arguably the category K-beauty does better than anyone, would have rounded it off beautifully.
