The Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 is built around a simple idea: one product behind each of its 25 drawers, and 24 of those 25 are full-size. No doubling up, and almost nothing that counts as a sample. At £275 for a stated £1,225 of product, this is a calendar built on a different principle to most at this price, and whether that suits you comes down to one question. Would you rather open more things, or bigger ones?

Does it pique our interest?

Yes — and almost entirely because of the sizes.

Twenty-four of the 25 products are full-size. Only one, a Connock London Kukui Eau de Parfum, is a travel size.

And these are not small full-sizes. There are two 200ml LabSolue body products, a 100ml Ortigia body oil, a 100ml Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Body Oil, a 90ml Benamôr face cream, a 50ml Jean Charles Brosseau eau de parfum and a 50ml Wildsmith Copper Peptide Cream that retails at £120 on its own. Several of these are products you would think twice about before buying at full price, arriving in the size you would actually buy.

The brand list is quietly confident rather than showy. Wildsmith, Clive Christian, Bamford, Aromatherapy Associates, Gallivant, Ortigia, LabSolue. There is almost no filler — no sheet mask counting as a product, no sachet, no voucher. Every drawer holds something with a real retail price behind it.

The box itself is worth a mention. It is fully recyclable and refillable, at 41 × 33 × 13.5cm, and designed to be kept and reused rather than recycled in January. That is a small thing, but at £275 it is the sort of detail that separates a calendar from a cardboard box of samples.

Pique Picks: what we’re most excited about

Pique Picks from the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026: Wildsmith Copper Peptide Cream, Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil, Ortigia Zagara Body Oil and Clive Christian No.1 Feminine Parfum
Our four Pique Picks from the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026: Wildsmith Copper Peptide Cream, Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle, Ortigia Zagara Body Oil and Clive Christian No.1 Feminine.

Clive Christian Original Collection No.1 Feminine Parfum (10ml, est. RRP £130) — our Pique Pick of the calendar. Clive Christian is one of the most expensive fragrance houses in the world and almost never appears in a calendar at all. Ten millilitres does not sound like much until you price it: this single drawer accounts for around a tenth of the calendar’s entire stated value, and it is a genuine chance to live with a scent most people only ever smell on a blotter.

Wildsmith Copper Peptide Cream (full-size, 50ml, RRP £120) — the most valuable single skincare item here, and full-size, which at this price point is rare. Wildsmith is the sort of British brand people mean to try and never quite get round to. A full jar rather than a 15ml pot is the difference between a trial and an actual test.

Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Bath & Shower Oil (full-size, 55ml, RRP £65) — a cult product that has been in bathrooms for decades for good reason, and one of two Aromatherapy Associates oils in the calendar. If you have never understood why people are evangelical about it, December is a reasonable time to find out.

Ortigia Zagara Body Oil (full-size, 100ml, RRP £52) — Ortigia is the Sicilian house whose packaging people keep long after the bottle is empty, and Zagara is its orange blossom. A full 100ml of body oil is the kind of thing that gets rationed when you buy it yourself and used properly when it arrives as a gift. It is also the most December-scented thing in the calendar.

What we’d change

There is no haircare at all. Not one hair product among the 25.

The makeup is one brand. All three makeup products come from Delilah. They are nice products, but three drawers out of 25 from a single brand is thin, and if Delilah is not for you then the entire makeup category is a write-off. One more name here would have gone a long way.

The category balance is unusual. Bodycare is the biggest section at eight products, ahead of skincare at seven. Fragrance gets four and makeup three, with three extras — a washbag, a pair of Shleep merino socks and a Fortnum’s votive candle. If you think of an advent calendar as primarily a skincare or makeup event, this one is weighted somewhere you might not expect.

Worth noting too: Jo Malone London appeared in the 2025 edition and is not in this one.

The numbers

£275 for 25 products across 25 drawers, which Fortnum’s values at over £1,225 — a saving of £950 on buying the contents separately. Adding the individual RRPs ourselves gets us to about £1,075 across the 22 priced items, with the washbag, socks and candle unpriced; add reasonable figures for those three and the published number holds up. That is our own working rather than something Fortnum’s publishes line by line, so treat it as corroboration.

On timing: it is available to order now and ships from 13 October 2026. UK delivery is £5.95 with no free-delivery threshold.

That works out at £11 a drawer, which is more than most — but it buys you one full-size product a day rather than a handful of miniatures. Which of those two things you want is really the only question here.

Who it’s perfect for

Classic luxury lovers who care more about what is in the bottle than how many bottles there are. If you would rather have a full 100ml body oil than four 10ml serums, this is the calendar of the season for you, and nothing else here comes close on that measure.

It suits anyone buying for bath, body and fragrance rather than a skincare routine — bodycare is the largest category and the fragrance drawers are unusually good. It is a weaker fit if you want haircare (there is none), if you want makeup variety (three products, one brand), or if part of the pleasure for you is the sheer number of parcels. If that is you, the John Lewis calendar is built the other way round, with 41 products across its 25 drawers.

Our Pique verdict

Pique Verdict card for the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026. Perfect for: classic luxury lovers who favour fragrance, skincare and bodycare over makeup and haircare. Best product: Clive Christian No.1 Feminine Parfum 10ml, est. RRP £130. Biggest drawback: no haircare and limited makeup variety. Value for money: 5 out of 5 stars.

Does the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 pique our interest? It does, and for the least fashionable reason available: restraint. Twenty-five drawers, twenty-four full-size products, almost no filler and a Clive Christian parfum somewhere in the middle of it. It costs more per drawer than most, and Fortnum’s has clearly decided that is the point rather than a problem.

FAQ

Is the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 worth it? If you value size over count, yes. £275 for £1,225 of product is 4.5 times the price, and 24 of the 25 items are full-size. If you would rather open more things than bigger ones, a higher-count calendar will suit you better.

How much is it, and when does it arrive?

£275, available to order now, shipping from 13 October 2026. UK delivery is £5.95 and there is no free-delivery threshold.

What’s inside the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026?

25 products across 25 drawers: bodycare 8, skincare 7, fragrance 4, makeup 3 and three extras — a Charlotte Posner washbag, Shleep merino socks and a Fortnum’s votive candle. Brands include Clive Christian, Wildsmith, Bamford, Aromatherapy Associates, Ortigia and Gallivant. Full list above.

Is there any haircare in it?

No. There is not a single hair product among the 25, so if haircare matters to you, the John Lewis calendar includes three.

How does it compare with the other calendars this season?

They are built for different people rather than ranked against each other. Fortnum’s is the one to choose if you want full-size products and a bath, body and fragrance leaning. Liberty is the one for discovering brands you have not tried. Harrods leans luxury skincare. John Lewis is the one for plenty to open from names you already know. Boots 12 Days of Scent is the one for fragrance at well under £100.
