Behind one of these 25 doors is a 200ml Shea Body Butter — the same tub The Body Shop sells on shelf, not a 50ml travel version of it. Behind three more are 250ml shower gels in British Rose, Passionfruit and Peppermint. Behind two more is a 250ml Shea Shampoo and its matching Conditioner. That’s the whole argument for this calendar in one paragraph: where most advent calendars hand you a month of miniatures, the Ultimate hands you bottles you’d have bought anyway. It’s £139, it leans hard into body, bath and hair, and it’s the only calendar on this site where December ends with a restocked bathroom rather than a drawer of samples.
The numbers
The Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar is £139 for 25 products behind 25 doors, and The Body Shop states it’s worth over £250. The brand describes it as including “a selection of full-size favourites” but doesn’t publish a full-size count, so we haven’t put a number on it — what it does publish is the sizes, and they include three 250ml shower gels, a 250ml shampoo and conditioner pair, a 200ml Shea Body Butter, a 200ml Almond Milk Body Yogurt and a 200ml Tender Tonka Body Cream. The category split runs eight face items, five body moisturisers, four lip products, three shower gels, three hand creams and balms, and two haircare. That’s 13 of 25 doors on body, bath and hair, and eight on face. Products are made with The Body Shop’s Community Fair Trade ingredients, and delivery is free with every advent calendar. It’s on sale now — no waitlist, no pre-order window.
Does it pique our interest?
The size jump is the story, and it’s a bigger jump than the £74 price gap between this and the Classic calendar suggests. A 250ml shower gel isn’t a larger version of a 60ml one in any meaningful sense — it’s the product, at the price The Body Shop charges for it, arriving on a random morning in December. Three of those, plus a 250ml shampoo and conditioner and three 200ml body moisturisers, and you’ve got most of a bathroom restocked before you’ve counted the rest of the doors.
The face content is also much more serious than the Classic’s. Eight of the 25 doors are skin: a 100ml Edelweiss Cleanser, a 90ml Camomile Cleansing Balm, a 50ml Vitamin E Intense Barrier Cream, a 50ml Vitamin C Glow Boost Moisturiser, three sheet masks and the Ginseng & Rice Facial Mask. That’s two cleansers and two moisturisers at sizes you can actually run a routine on, which is a different thing from three sachets and a sheet mask. Someone who has never used The Body Shop’s skincare gets a fair test of it here.
Then there’s the scent spread, which is where the brand earns its reputation. Tender Tonka is the outlier and the most interesting inclusion — a warmer, sweeter, more grown-up scent than the fruit-and-flower run the brand is usually shorthand for — and Peppermint, Passionfruit, Edelweiss, Matcha Latte and Almond Milk all pull the line-up away from feeling like one long Mango-and-Strawberry gift set. Four lip products across the month (two lip butters, a lip care stick and a Born Lippy in Matcha Latte) is more than most calendars bother with, and they’re the doors that end up in coat pockets and handbags rather than the bathroom.
What holds it together is that the calendar doesn’t change its mind about what it is. It’s a body, bath and hair calendar with a real skincare wing, from a brand whose body, bath and hair products are the reason anyone shops there. There’s no beauty tool, no makeup, no fragrance bottle padding out the value — and given how many calendars at this price use one expensive item to carry the whole claim, the consistency is worth something.
What we’d change
None of the three points below would have stopped us buying it, but each is worth knowing first.
There’s no makeup and no fragrance at all. Four lip products and a Born Lippy is as close as it gets, and there’s no perfume, no body mist, no colour. That’s coherent rather than careless, but if you want a calendar that covers every category of a beauty routine, this doesn’t — and at £139 some buyers will expect it to.
Several scents repeat across the box in a way that narrows the sweep. Shea turns up five times — body butter, hand balm, shampoo, conditioner, lip butter — and Vitamin C twice. That’s defensible (Shea is the brand’s signature, and a matching shampoo and conditioner should match), but it means the 25 doors cover fewer distinct scents than the count implies.
And the big bottles cut both ways. Three 250ml shower gels and three 200ml body moisturisers is a lot of product to get through if you don’t already know you like those scents, and a 250ml bottle you don’t get on with is harder to shrug off than a 60ml one. This calendar rewards people who already shop The Body Shop more than it rewards people trying it for the first time — for which, the Classic is the better introduction.
These are shape-of-the-box observations rather than faults. The Ultimate does the thing it set out to do very cleanly.

Who it’s perfect for
This is the calendar for someone who already knows The Body Shop and wants their bathroom filled rather than sampled. If Shea Body Butter is a repeat purchase in your house, if you’d buy a 250ml shower gel at full price anyway, or if you’re buying for someone whose Christmas list is essentially “things I’ve run out of,” this is the one — and the 200ml Tender Tonka Body Cream and 250ml Peppermint Shower Gel are the doors that make it feel like a December box rather than a trip to the shop.
It’s also a strong first-time gift for someone moving into their own place, for exactly the same reason: they end up with real bottles.
It’s less right for you if you want variety over volume, or if you’re buying a calendar mainly for the ritual of a small daily surprise. The The Body Shop Classic Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 is the better fit there — 24 doors at £65, all pocket-sized, with nine scent families and a much wider sweep of things to try. And if makeup or fragrance is what you actually want from a December calendar, neither of The Body Shop’s two will give you any.
Our Pique Verdict
Perfect for: Existing Body Shop shoppers, and anyone who wants full-size bottles rather than miniatures
Best product: Tender Tonka Body Cream, 200ml — the most grown-up scent in the box, at a size you’ll actually finish
Biggest drawback: No makeup and no fragrance, and Shea appears five times
Value for money: ★★★★☆ 4.5/5

Frequently asked questions
How many products are in The Body Shop Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar 2026?
There are 25 products behind 25 doors, and The Body Shop states the calendar is worth over £250.
Does the Ultimate calendar contain full-size products?
Yes. The Body Shop describes it as including “a selection of full-size favourites” without publishing a count, but the sizes it lists include three 250ml shower gels, a 250ml Shea Shampoo and Conditioner, a 200ml Shea Body Butter, a 200ml Almond Milk Body Yogurt and a 200ml Tender Tonka Body Cream.
When does The Body Shop Ultimate Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 go on sale?
It’s already on sale — both Body Shop calendars are available to buy now, with free delivery included.
Is the Ultimate calendar worth the extra £74 over the Classic?
They’re built for different buyers rather than being better and worse versions of each other. The Classic gives you 24 pocket-sized products across nine scent families for £65 — more variety, less volume. The Ultimate gives you 25 products at much bigger sizes, plus a proper skincare section, for £139.
Is there any makeup or fragrance in the Ultimate calendar?
No. The closest is the lip care — two lip butters, an Almond Milk Lip Care Stick and a Born Lippy in Matcha Latte. There’s no perfume, body mist or colour makeup.
