Does it pique our interest?
It does, and the reason is the ratio.Nineteen full-size products out of 27 is a high proportion for a calendar at this price, and the eight that are not full size are mostly proper retail travel sizes rather than sachets — the 10ml Floral Street at £29, the 6g Laura Mercier Ultra Blur at £23, the 50ml Color Wow styling cream at £21.50. Those are things you can buy on their own, which is a very different proposition from a foil sample.
The makeup section is the strongest part of the box. Huda Beauty, Fenty Beauty, NARS, MAC (twice), Benefit, Laura Mercier, Milk Makeup and Iconic London — nine products, six of them full size, and almost nothing that reads as filler. For a £150 calendar sitting on the high street, that is a genuinely good line-up of names.
The skincare is nine products and unusually well mixed. There are the prestige houses (Estée Lauder, Lancôme, Clinique), the modern beauty-retailer favourites (Caudalie, Ole Henriksen, Laneige) and two Korean picks in Mamonde and Illiyoon. The heavy hitters are obvious — £65 of Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt, £52 of Caudalie Vinoperfect, £38 of Ole Henriksen — but the spread underneath them is thoughtful rather than padded.
The haircare is worth calling out too, and not just for the £46.70 Wella Ultimate Color Miracle Leave-In Mask. Getting the matching 250ml Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner is more useful than two unrelated hair products, which is what these calendars usually do.
And it is all beauty. No scrunchies, no gua shas, no accessories quietly taking up doors. All 27 items are products you would actually use.
Pique Picks: what we’re most excited about

Iconic London Multi-Use Cream Blush, Bronze & Highlight Palette (19.2g, RRP £40) — our Pique Pick of the calendar. Six cream shades in one full-size compact, covering blush, bronze and highlight, which makes it the single most useful thing in the box for anyone who wants to actually get out of the door in the morning. At £40 it is also the most valuable makeup item here, and cream formulas travel far better than powders if this ends up in a weekend bag.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Lift + Sculpt (15ml, RRP £65) — the most valuable product in the calendar, full size, and from the one Estée Lauder line most people already trust. A £65 eye cream is not something most of us add to a basket casually, so finding it behind a door is exactly the sort of thing a calendar should do.
Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (125ml, RRP £34) — a full-size 125ml pot of one of the most reliably good cleansing balms on the shelf. It is not glamorous, but it is the product in here most likely to be used to the bottom of the jar.
Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 91 Perfume Mist (90ml, RRP £25) — a proper 90ml retail bottle, not a mini. Cheirosa 91 is the warmer vanilla-and-sandalwood one rather than the pistachio-caramel 62 everyone knows, which makes it a slightly more interesting choice than the obvious pick.
What we’d change
“Luxe” is doing some heavy lifting. The brands here are excellent, but the edit leans more premium high-street beauty than true luxury — this is Huda and NARS and Clinique territory, not Augustinus Bader or La Mer. At £150 we are not complaining too loudly, and if genuine luxury is what you are after, the Liberty and Harrods calendars are built for exactly that. But the name sets an expectation the contents do not quite meet.
Some very safe shade choices. NARS Orgasm, MAC Soar and MAC Mehr are three of the most-bought shades in beauty. They are sensible choices for a calendar that has to please a lot of people, and they will suit most skin tones, but there is no sense of discovery in them.
Fragrance is thin. Two products out of 27, and one of those is a body mist rather than a perfume. That is a deliberate choice rather than an oversight — this is a makeup-and-skincare calendar first — but if scent is what you want from an advent calendar, the Boots 12 Days of Scent calendar is the one to look at instead.
The numbers
£150 for 27 products across 24 days, which Boots values at over £700. Our own tally of the published RRPs comes to about £718, so the stated figure is if anything a little conservative. Either way you are paying somewhere around a fifth of retail.
Broken down another way, that is £6.25 a day, or roughly £5.55 a product. The single most expensive item — the £65 Estée Lauder eye cream — is worth about 43% of what you pay for the whole calendar on its own.
The split by category is makeup 9 products (£229 of value), skincare 9 (about £255), haircare 5 (£146), bodycare 2 (£34) and fragrance 2 (£54). Makeup and skincare each account for a third of the box, which is a fair reflection of what it is for.
Two of the RRPs in our table are estimates rather than published prices: the 7ml Lancôme Génifique is not a standard retail bottle, and the 30ml Illiyoon is a travel size of a 200ml product, so we have worked both out proportionally.

Who it’s perfect for
Anyone who wants the big beauty names without a £250-plus calendar price. That is the honest summary. If your wishlist has Huda, Fenty, NARS, MAC, Clinique and Estée Lauder on it, this puts a meaningful amount of all of them in one box for £150.
It is a particularly good fit for a makeup-first buyer. Nine makeup products, six of them full size, with a cream palette, a mascara, a setting spray, a setting powder, a primer, a lip pencil, a lipstick, a gloss and a multi-stick is close to a complete face — and the skincare and haircare on top of that are not an afterthought.
It also makes a straightforward gift. There is enough here that is recognisable that it will land well with someone whose taste you do not know precisely, and the full-size ratio means it will not feel like a box of samples when it is opened.
It is a weaker fit if you are shopping for true luxury or niche names, or if you specifically want a fragrance calendar. Both of those are well served elsewhere this season, and we have covered them.
Our Pique verdict

Does the Boots 24 Days of Luxe Advent Calendar 2026 pique our interest? It does. The name promises a little more than the contents deliver, but that is the only real quibble — and it is one about wording rather than about what is in the box. Nineteen full-size products, a makeup line-up with real names in it, a skincare section that has clearly been thought about, and almost nothing you would call filler, for £150. On what you actually get to use, this is one of the easiest calendars of the season to recommend.

FAQ
Is the Boots 24 Days of Luxe Advent Calendar 2026 worth it?
On value, yes. £150 for a stated £700-plus of beauty is roughly a fifth of retail, and 19 of the 27 products are full size rather than samples. The thing to check first is whether the brand mix suits you, because that is what you are really buying.
How much is it, and how many products are in it?
£150, for 27 products across 24 days. It is available to order now.
Why does a 24-day calendar have 27 products?
Because a few of the days hold more than one item — the matching Aveda shampoo and conditioner, for instance.
What’s inside the Boots 24 Days of Luxe Advent Calendar 2026?
Nine makeup products, nine skincare, five haircare, two bodycare and two fragrance. The biggest names are Estée Lauder, Clinique, Caudalie, NARS, Huda Beauty, Fenty Beauty, MAC, Benefit, Laura Mercier, Milk Makeup, Iconic London, Aveda, Amika, Wella, Color Wow, Sol de Janeiro and Laneige.
Is everything full-size?
Nineteen of the 27 are, including the 125ml Clinique cleansing balm, the 15ml Estée Lauder eye cream and both 250ml Aveda bottles. Of the eight that are not, most are proper retail travel sizes rather than samples.
How does it compare with the other calendars this season?
They are built for different people. This one is about recognisable, high-street-available beauty at a mid price. If you want niche fragrance or true luxury skincare, look at Liberty or Harrods; if you want fragrance only, the Boots 12 Days of Scent is the better fit. All four Boots calendars for 2026 — including the skincare-only 24 Days of Skin — are collected on our Boots advent calendar hub.
