How the two editions work
Both calendars share the same 29-product core of makeup, skincare and haircare. From there, the Signature Edition adds 4 exclusive products for 33 total, while the Special Edition adds 9 exclusive products — 5 fragrance, 4 haircare — for 38 total.
Cult Beauty is also running three £1,000 Golden Tickets hidden across this year’s calendars, plus a free £20 gift card for anyone who buys on launch day, on top of whichever edition you pick.
Does it pique our interest?
Yes — the shared core is genuinely strong, with Sunday Riley, Medik8, Allies of Skin, Paula’s Choice and Dr. Levy Switzerland all showing up in both editions, which is serious, treatment-led skincare rather than filler. The exclusives actually differentiate the editions too, rather than feeling like a token difference: Special Edition buyers get five real fragrances (Kilian, Kayali, Fugazzi, Escentric Molecules, Sol de Janeiro) plus haircare, while Signature keeps things closer to a traditional beauty edit with Augustinus Bader and Summer Fridays. And the price doesn’t change either way — £245 gets you 33 products in one edition or 38 in the other, so the choice comes down to which exclusives you’d actually use, not which is “worth more.”
What we’d change
Choosing between two editions with a 29-product shared core adds real decision fatigue — useful once you understand the structure, but not obvious at a glance. A couple of the Special Edition’s RRPs also look like placeholders; the Amika Soulstruck Hair Mask is listed at an estimated £5, which reads low next to everything else in the calendar and is worth a pinch of salt until Cult Beauty confirms it. And the Special Edition’s shipping restrictions limit who this is really for, since it’s UK-only with fragrance-related exclusions that rule it out for a chunk of any international audience straight away.

Which edition is for you
Choose Signature if:
You want the more traditional beauty edit
Summer Fridays or Augustinus Bader appeal to you
Choose Special if:
Fragrance is a major draw
You want Kilian, Kayali, Fugazzi and Escentric 01
You prefer body and haircare to fragrance minis
You’d actually use the extra hair products
You want more products for the same £245 price
Bottom line: both contain the same 29-product makeup and skincare core. Your decision really comes down to the exclusives — and whether you can receive the Special Edition at all, given its shipping restrictions.
Our Pique Verdict
Perfect for: Beauty lovers who want a strong skincare-and-makeup core, plus the flexibility to pick fragrance (Special) or more traditional exclusives (Signature).
Best product: Dr. Levy Switzerland Overnight Booster Cream — claimed est. £112, included in both editions.
Biggest drawback: Choosing between two near-identical calendars adds decision fatigue, and Special Edition’s shipping restrictions narrow who can actually buy it.

FAQ
What’s the difference between the Signature and Special Edition?
Both share the same 29-product makeup and skincare core. Signature adds 4 exclusive products (33 total) and ships worldwide except the US and Canada. Special adds 9 exclusive products — five fragrances and four haircare pieces — for 38 total, but is UK-only with shipping restrictions.
Which edition should I choose?
If you want a traditional beauty edit with Augustinus Bader and Summer Fridays, go Signature. If fragrance is the draw and you’re in the UK, Special gets you more products for the same price.
How much is it, and is it available?
£245 for either edition. Both launched 2 September 2026 and are available now, though both are expected to sell out.
Is the Cult Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 worth it?
For the shared core alone — Sunday Riley, Medik8, Allies of Skin and Paula’s Choice among them — yes. Which edition is “worth it” for you depends entirely on whether you’d use the exclusives.
