Next has been building its beauty offer quietly for a few years now, and the Next Beauty Advent Calendar 2026 — officially the 25 Days of Beauty — is the point at which that groundwork becomes obvious. Thirty products sit behind twenty-five drawers, and the brand list reads like a department-store line-up: Clinique, Estée Lauder, Caudalie, Laura Mercier, Natasha Denona, Omorovicza, Espa, Aveda, Rituals. At £150 it is Next’s most ambitious calendar to date, and one door in particular gives it a real point of difference.

Does it pique our interest?
The headline act is the BeautyPro LED Wand 5-in-1, a full-size handheld device that combines red and blue LED light, microcurrent, sonic vibration and gentle heat. Whatever you make of at-home devices, a full-size tool of this kind is a genuine point of difference in a £150 calendar — it is the sort of thing you would normally expect to be the calendar rather than one door of it. It is also the reason the rest of the box can afford to be sensible.
And sensible is the right word for the skincare, in the best way. Caudalie’s Resveratrol-Lift Firming Cashmere Cream and Clinique’s All About Eyes Serum arrive at their full sizes, and around them sit Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair, Omorovicza’s Elixir, Oskia’s Super C capsules, Espa’s Clean & Green Detox Mask, Elemis’s Pro-Collagen Rose Cleansing Balm, Liz Earle’s Cleanse & Polish with its cloth, Dermalogica’s Skin Smoothing Cream and Kate Somerville’s ExfoliKate Cleanser. That is twelve skincare doors, and not one of them is a filler sachet — it is a usable routine from names most people already trust.
The makeup is small but well chosen. Laura Mercier’s Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Modern Rose is an everyday classic that people repurchase, and Natasha Denona’s Mini Gloom palette puts a more current premium name alongside it. Manucurist’s Green nail polish in Prune is a full bottle of something people pay £14 for on its own, and Dr.PawPaw’s tinted lip balm is the kind of thing that quietly ends up in a coat pocket all winter.
Hair and body is where the calendar shows its range: Aveda’s Botanical Repair leave-in, Percy & Reed’s No Oil Oil, a Rituals Ayurveda body cream, Korres shower gel and Bath & Body Works’ Warm Vanilla Sugar hand cream. Add Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep travel candle and Victoria’s Secret’s Bare Vanilla mist and you have a box that covers a whole morning and evening rather than just a face.
What we’d change
Three points held it back for us.
The fragrance doors are the weak spot. Barbour Origins for Her, Floral Street’s Enchanted Masquerade, Billie Eilish’s Your Turn and one of four Laura Ashley parfums all arrive as 1.5–2ml vials, and Next excludes them from its stated value for exactly that reason. Four of the twenty-five drawers, then, hold something closer to a counter sample than a product — which is a shame, because the scents themselves are interesting, and a single 10ml of one of them would have done more than four vials of all of them.
Ten claimed full sizes out of thirty products is also on the conservative side for £150. It is a defensible ratio when one of those full sizes is a device, but it does mean a fair amount of the box is travel-sized.
And the Flat Lay Co. keyring pouch, sweet as it is, reads as filler. It counts towards the full-size tally without being the reason anyone spends £150.
