It sits in a strong little haircare corner alongside the Beauty Works 10-in-1 Miracle Spray at 250ml and the Wella Ultimate Colour Shine Spray at 95ml, both listed as full size. For anyone who styles their hair most mornings, that trio alone covers prep, finish and shine, and it’s the part of the box that will get used up rather than tucked in a drawer.
The Sensse LED Skin Lift is the other surprise. A beauty tool in a box like this gives it a bit more weight than a bag of minis, and it pairs naturally with the face roller and eye mask for an evening that feels more like a facial than a quick cleanse.
Skincare is where the box spreads its net widest. What we like most is how usable it all is. Very hasn’t filled the box with one-off novelties: most of these are things that slot into an ordinary week, and the haircare and the Sensse tool give it a backbone.
Where it falls a little short
We’d have liked the eye mask and face roller to come from named brands. As they stand, they’re two of the 20 products, and a branded skincare piece or another colour product in their place would have made the line-up feel even fuller.
Several of the minis are on the small side: the Benefit Benetint is 2ml, and the Caudalie eye cream and the Michael Kors fragrance are 5ml each. They’re lovely for a first try, but if one of them becomes a favourite, the full size will be the next purchase.
