The Harrods Fragrance Advent Calendar 2026 sold out online within hours of going live in early August. If you missed it, the story doesn’t end there. Harrods is selling it in store, so there’s still a very real chance of finding one on a shelf this autumn. The trick is to pick up the phone before you pick up your coat.
What waits behind the lid is well worth the call. Twelve fragrances sit behind twelve doors, and very few of them are dainty vials. The mood is rich and after-dark: rose folded into oud, saffron warming everything it touches, a milky gourmand, a curl of incense. Parfums de Marly’s Delina Exclusif sits alongside Thameen, Ex Nihilo, Amouage and Maison Francis Kurkdjian, with Jo Malone’s English Pear & Freesia as the one bright, fresh breath of air. Seven of the twelve are full size, and two of those are 50ml bottles.
The box itself is a lovely thing, in Harrods’ warm gold, and the kind of keepsake that’s very hard to throw away once the twelfth door is open.

The numbers
The Harrods 12 Days of Fragrance Advent Calendar costs £225 and holds 12 fragrances from 12 different houses, one for each day. Seven of the twelve are full size: two 50ml bottles and five at 30ml. The other five are 10ml and 15ml sizes of the houses’ bigger names. It’s one of three Harrods advent calendars this year, alongside the 25 Days of Beauty and the 12 Days of Hair & Body, and the only one devoted entirely to fragrance.
Pre-sale opened on the Harrods app on 3 August and the calendar went live online on 4 August, where it sold out within hours. Harrods says the calendar is now available in store from September while stocks last. Stock varies from store to store and day to day, so we’d ring ahead before travelling, whether that’s to Knightsbridge or to your nearest H beauty. Ask them to confirm there’s one on the shelf, and whether they can put it aside for you.
Does it pique our interest?
Very much. The first thing that pulls us in is the size of what’s inside. Seven full-size fragrances in a twelve-door calendar is a generous share, and these aren’t just any seven. Thameen’s Patiala and Ex Nihilo’s Brompton Immortals both arrive at 50ml. Parfums de Marly, Jeroboam, Floraïku, Memo Paris and Jo Malone each bring a 30ml. This is a calendar you’ll still be wearing well into spring.
Then there are the discoveries. This one reaches beyond the usual names. Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s new Oud Velvet Mood is a softer, fruitier take on oud: plush peach skin and suede over warm wood, with saffron adding a leathery hum. BORNTOSTANDOUT’s Golden Milk is gloriously indulgent: caramel, condensed milk and saffron, edged with smoky leather. Memo Paris’s Omnia Omnibus Ubique, a Harrods exclusive, is a smooth, slightly powdery floral oud of saffron, rose, osmanthus and iris.
The standouts, for us, are the ones you’d happily wear every week. Delina Exclusif is the richer, more opulent sibling of the original Delina. It’s juicy pear and lychee over rose, deepened with incense and oud, and it’s the scent most people will open this calendar hoping to find. Patiala is quietly elegant, a polished floral chypre with sparkling orange and orange blossom over moss and creamy musk. Floraïku’s Gong surprises us every time: yuzu and pepper meet a soft, sweet dorayaki-cake note before settling into sandalwood and benzoin.

What we’d change
If we could tweak one thing, it would be the contrast. The line-up leans heavily into rose, oud, amber, vanilla and creamy spice. Each of those is beautiful on its own, but side by side a few of them start to blur into one another.
Along the same lines, we’d love one more easy daytime scent to sit beside the Jo Malone. Something green or citrus would give the calendar a little more balance, and make it friendlier for someone still working out what they like to wear.
And we’d love a gentler route in. A calendar that sells out online within hours is hard to plan around. Clearer information on how many calendars are going to stores, and which ones, would make the hunt feel fairer for everyone who missed the first drop.

Who it’s perfect for
This is a calendar for niche-fragrance lovers who want proper sizes and bold, characterful scents: rose, oud, saffron and gourmand, worn with confidence. It makes a wonderful gift for someone who already owns a Delina or an Amouage and wants to go further down the rabbit hole. It suits the fragrance lover who likes a treasure hunt, too. If you’ve been hunting for a perfume advent calendar with real depth, this is a beautiful place to land. If your own taste runs mainly to light, fresh or barely-there perfume, this one may feel a little heady.
